Series - stories that changed the world
Almost one-third of Jesus’ teaching was done through story-telling or parables. A parable is a story used as a means to help reinforce the truth that is being taught.
But Jesus didn’t just tell stories to reveal a spiritual truth, although they certainly did that. He often used the unusual twists in the stories to catch the attention of the listener and jolt them into new ways of seeing things and calling them to action. In many cases, Jesus used parables to get people to agree to the truth before He revealed that it applied to them. In this nine-week series we will take a fresh look at some of these Stories That Changed the World.
